Orchestra
The Orchestra members at THS pride themselves in their achievements. The orchestra program is broken up by Fall and Spring Semester. In a student’s first year in orchestra, they are required to participate in both the Spring and Fall semesters of orchestra. After the first year, they may choose whether to enroll in both semesters or just the spring semester. The fall orchestra is designed to give instruction appropriate for students making the transition from middle school to high school orchestra. The upperclassmen who are in the fall orchestra help the 9th graders learn, grow, and prepare for the spring.
Our Spring Orchestra puts on multiple performances a semester that entertain and amaze their audiences. In 2022, the THS Spring Orchestra placed 1st in the Music in the Parks competition in Hershey, PA. In addition, they have consistently received superior ratings at their adjudications, and have a large representation in the All County Orchestra.
